If you are looking for a great value for an early 1920's regenerative set, it is hard to beat the Westinghouse RC.

I offer an East Springfield built Westinghouse RC Receiving set.

Consisting of a RA Tuner and DA Detector , 2 stage audio amplifier. Designed in 1919 by Frank Conrad of Westinghouse KDKA designer fame.

Cabinet in good shape, was refinished by previous owner.

Original rubber feet on bottom of cabinet.

RA panel serial number is 53279

DA panel serial number is 17716

The open frame audio transformers are original but consist of an early and late style version (late was replaced.) Both transformers have open secondaries . Both transformers have good primaries.

( old style measures 870 ohms, the other newer measures 1200 ohms. )

You could easily add a coupling condenser to R/C couple each one.

The troublesome cartridge grid condenser was updated. Grid leak is missing from clips.

Bypass condenser is a early 60's Sprague.

Tube socket rubber shock mounts are broken and will need to be replaced.

3 of the socket lead wires were resoldered because of the socket moving around. I secured it for shipping with zip ties...

Last I tested, I was able to hear a couple strong stations using headphones in the first jack.

(Detector jack)

For more detailed information refer to Eric Weenas's book entitled "The Golden Age of RCA".

It points out the several variations of these models manufactured in East Springfield,  MA.
