I just found this piece in Western Ohio although I think it is from Pa or New York / New England. Works great as a shelf but I'm unsure of its original intention. Has great oxidation on both ends, so if it was a fragment, its been separated for a long time. Includes a square nail which I think might have been used to level the piece. It might have been a sample piece to show someone what trim could be included. Either way it looks great and works nicely as a shelf for miniatures. See the photo with the redware (not included) to get a good idea of how it looks.

Dates to around 1880-1890s.

About 14 and 3/4 inches long. See soda can for scale. The redware is very small.

Condition: Nice patina. Great surface. Worn and missing some balls. Scratches. Edge wear and corner wear. No major breaks. No repairs. Displays well. See photos.
