Life is hard sometimes-crazy, mixed-up, messed up.

And there you are in the middle of it all,

just doing your thing...being strong and brave and beautiful like it's no big deal.

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord. (Psalm 31:24)

But let me tell you, it is.

Not everyone can do

what you can do.

Not everyone can handle

things the way you can.

And I'll tell you a little secret--

While you wonder sometimes

if you are doing Okay---

the rest of us are just

watching in wonder.

What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
