In 1999 French gas company TOTAL negotiated a deal with Mouinsart and Casterman to publish a limited special edition  of 6 adventures of Tintin. Those were to be given away in TOTAL gas stations. And sold out in no time.

The 6 books were L'Etoile Mystérieuse, Les Sept Boules de Cristal, Le Temple du Soleil, Vol 714 pour Sydney, Le Crabe aux Pinces d'Or et Le Sceptre d'Ottokar.

The books featured a strong soft cover that happened to be washable.

To the usual 62 pages of each book, 8 additional pages of history were added.

The books are scarce and valuable, especially the complete collection.
