Offered is this lot of eight small antique books from the Little Leather Library "Redcroft" Edition, by various authors. Included are: 1) "Memories of President Lincoln", by Walt Whitman; 2) "Snow-Bound and Other Poems", by John Greenleaf Whittier; 3) "Friendship and Other Essays", by Henry David Thoreau; 4) "Poems and Plays", by Robert Browning (see photo #7 for contents); 5) "Irish Melodies", by Thomas Moore; 6) "The 'Bab' Ballads", by W. S. Gilbert; 7) "The Man Without a Country", by Edward Everett Hale and 8) "A Tillyloss Scandal", by J. M. Barrie . Although none show a publishing date, this series of books was produced from approx. 1916 to 1923. All have green embossed flexible and presumably leather covers.

Each book is approx. 4" x 3". All are in good condition overall. The covers have no major tears, but some may have some very short edge tears. They all have some degree of yellow; not sure if this is due to aging or was originally there and most of the covers curve over the long open end. There may be some minor surface wear. I see no missing pages or pages with major tears but there may be a page or two with very short edge tears. All the pages are well-attached to the covers. The first and last pages have browned heavily (in some cases several pages in the front and back) but the rest of the pages have only slight browning and are generally clean and clear. I see no writing in any of the books.

I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them!
