A small collection of postcards from WW1 including four silks postcards.  Silk postcards were mainly produced in France and were sold to Soldiers wanting something special to send home to loved ones.  As they were quite pretty and delicate most silks were not written on and sent blank in an envelope with a letter.

1. Silk "Canada" under Crown surrounded by flowers.  
Inscription "European War 1914 - To Mrs Lawson From Arthur with Kindest Regards - March 22 - 16, Somewhere in Belgium - PS I am sending Mrs H a card too so they will both get in London together Hope you get them OK Arthur."

2. Silk Flag, possibly Iceland amongst flowers.  
Insert missing but remains of dried flowers in pocket.  Blank

3. Silk "Canada" under Crown between Union Jack and Canadian flag "THE MAPLE LEAF FOREVER.

4. Silk "A kiss from France" below red white and blue flowers
Insert shows picture of a lady and the words "A kiss from France".  Blank

5. Italy - A couple holding hands with flowers a house and a dove
Inscription "To my ever loving wife Mary from your loving Bill - Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

6. Italy - A folding card with pic of The virgin Mary holding Jesus and inside a pic of two cherubs.
Inscription "To my loving wife Mary from bill with lots of love"

Condition for all cards is good with just age related marks but please check the pictures for detail and condition.
