This listing is for a huge lot of 8 vintage Pressed Steel and diecast metal Ertl Farm implement playset items with plastic parts. I will be happy to send you more photos on request as I am limited to only 24 for this listing. All are painted in International Harvester Red, and some have the decals intact.  They are all marked Ertl Made in USA and others are marked on the tires or on the hitches or on the underside of the wagons.  I am not exactly sure when they were made, but this looks like a mixed lot to me.  Some may be from the late 1960s, some from the 70s and some from the 80s.  Some may have been purchased together and some individually, it is hard for me to tell. Some have very little play wear while others have more.  One of the grain wagons is out of square, but needs some straightening or played with as is.  Please see the detailed description below for each item for specific details.  Please take a good look at all the photos and feel free to ask questions.  I can send more photos, please ask.  I am selling these items together due to some condition issues.  They can be played with as they are, they can be used for display or for parts or restoration.  I have looked up each item individually and depending on condition, these items can be a bit pricy, especially the combine.  My averaged price comes out to be a bit over ten dollars each and I am tossing in a smaller scale John Deere tractor.  If you purchased these items individually you would pay more in shipping as well as more the the item itself.  This is a good buy for the new collector or for the person who needs parts or for the person who restores these items for resale.

Detailed description:

Combine is an International Harvester, which is in pretty good shape with regard to paint and decals. This is a diecast metal item and I would date it in the 1970s as Ertle made replicas of what was selling in the current year of production. The plastic windows of the cab are clear, but someone has tucked a candy wrapper inside and I don't know how to get it out as I am not taking it apart.  The head of the combine has two parts that complete it that are supposed to rotate, but they are broken on one end where they would fit and one of the fins is broken, but it fits together.  The head expands outward to open and accept the two parts that fit into a gear, and it may be sprung outward.  The white larger part is what would grab the crops and pull them into the auger, which would move the entire grain stocks into the combine where it would separate the grain from the fotter.  The shoot that folds outward would empty the grain bin located directly behind the cab, into a grain trailer allowing it to be hauled from the field into storage to further dry, if needed, before taking it to market or using it to feed livestock.  It may be able to be replaced or repaired as they are made of plastic.  If you have some that re not broken, they could be casted and painted.  Otherwise, the parts can fit together for display just the way it is.  It measures approximately 7.25 inches tall, 9 inches wide at its widest point, which is the head and 14 inches long.  It is marked Ertl on the bottom Made in USA. The axels are straight and it rolls just fine.  The wheels show little wear.  The rear wheels swivel, because these rigs steered by the rear wheels. I think this item could be repaired and all the parts are there, it just needs someone who knows how to do it.

Tractor, marked Ertl on the tires, shows some play wear with lots of paint loss and decal wear, it steers and rolls just fine.  This tractor is diecast metal as a magnet won't stick to it.  It is for parts or restoration or to turn lose in the sandbox. This tractor may be a late 1960s to the early 1980s as I am not sure of the model, but it is a wide front end and considered to be safer for hauling heavy loads. It measures approximately 8.5 inches long, 4.5 inches tall and nearly 5 inches wide at the base of the rear wheels.

Manure Spreader is made of pressed steel and plastic parts.  It has good paint and shows little play wear, but it is missing a plastic hub that would have fit in the center of the tire.  It resembles an old style of that would have had a wooden bed with a power take off chain driven conveyer with metal paddles operated by a sprocket that also was chain driven attached to one of the tires so that it could run at the same speed as the tractor pulling it.  The paddles would pull the manure to the teeth of the spreader that would spread the contents onto the field.  I am not sure this design is still being used as more sophisticated cattle, milking or hog farms use what is known as a honey wagon where the barns are cleaned by pushing the animal waste into pits where it is mixed with water so that it can be pumped into the honey wagon and taken to the fields for spreading as a fertilizer.  I would date this item from the late 1970s or 1980s.  It measures approximately 12.5 inches long, 5.5 inches wide at the wheelbase and 3.25 inches tall.  it is marked Ertl on the bottom.

Disc 1 is complete and measures approximately 10 inches long, 8.5 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall.  It has pretty good paint and the wheels show little wear.  It is marked Ertl on the hitch.  It is made of diecast metal and the disc parts are made of plastic. It is about the same size as the first disc.

Disc 2 is not complete and is made a bit different form the first disc.  The disc parts are made of plastic and it is missing the disc parts on one side.  This may have been played with outdoors.  It could use some more cleaning.  It is also made of diecast metal.  It is marked Ertl USA.  This one is for parts or restoration.

Plow is a replica of a hydraulic operated 4 bottom plow.  It appears to be in good condition except it is missing a plastic part that replicates the hydraulic arms that would have raised and lowered the blade.  It is missing on the first plow head and could be easily replaced if you have the part or it could be casted and painted to match.  The plow heads are all intact and are made of plastic. I think the frame is made of diecast metal and is marked Ertl on the underside of the frame.  It was made in the USA.  The paint looks good and the tires show very little play wear. It has two wheels attached and the spin just fine.

Grain Wagon 1 is made of pressed steel measures approximately 10.5 inches long including the hitch, 4.75 inches wide at the wheels and 3.75 inches tall.  This wagon has the best paint of the two and it has a flap on the back of the wagon that opens to empty the load. The rear corner of the wagon where the flap is riveted is slightly bent making the action of the flap stiff.  This could be straightened, but it would be best to leave it alone. The axels are straight, and it rolls just fine.  It has a little bit of rust on the bed.  It is marked Ertl on the front and back of the wagon as well as on the underside.  These wagons were designed to haul the harvest to the grain mill where it would have been weighed before it was sold.  They would have been pulled into the mill where the wheels would have been chalked and the elevator would tilt to empty the load that would have flowed from the wagon through steek grates in the floor.  Under the floor would have been an alegar system that would move the grain into a silo for storage.

Grain Wagon 2 looks to be the older of the two, perhaps from the late 1960s.  It is also made of pressed steel.  It has more rust and is missing some paint.  Otherwise, the axels are straight, and it rolls just fine.  This wagon is a different design from the first wagon and is a little wider.  It is also marked on the front and the back as well as on the underside.

I am adding a John Deere Tractor to the lot.  It is of a much smaller scale and is made of plastic.  It appears to be in good condition and shows very little play wear.  I am not sure when, where or who made it as it is not marked.  It only has a production number on the bottom.

These items will ship safely USPS Ground Advantage.  I will wrap each item in shipping paper and use shipping paper to help prevent shifting during shipping.  I will ship all of them together in an appropriately sized box.

These items will ship safely USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail, the choice is yours.  I will wrap each item in shipping paper using additional shipping paper to help prevent shifting during shipping.  I will ship in an appropriately sized box.  The shipping quotes summed up by the calculator are estimates and if I can save you money on shipping I will do so and gladly refund any overage you may pay on the final packed weight and size of box. The combine and the tractor weigh the most.  The combine is nearly 4 pounds and the over a pound.  Everything together is nearly 11 pounds, not counting the box or shipping materials.  The box is 20x16x11 inches rounded up to the nearest inch and the weight I estimate to be approximately 14 pounds ready to ship.  I am placing this information in this listing, so you don't think I am inflating the weight or the size of the package in order to profit on shipping.  I am using a recycled box and shipping paper I already have in stock.  I am not charging for the box or shipping paper.
