Sega Bandai Lock-On Laser Tag Toy In Original Box - Not Working

Gun is firing - the headset lights up, but when i fire the gun at the headset nothing happens, so i dont know if a sensor is not working so selling as not working/for parts. Also has a ton of generic kids stickers place all over the items 

The eye piece looks like a dog has chewed it - the box has wear and is missing a cardboard flap - please see pictures
