This listing is for a 1970's, maybe 60's, lightweight gauzy, hand blocked print bedspread or tablecloth. It is a paisley and floral design in red, yellow, orangey gold, and black. Measures about 68" X 104"
This is an original hand block print, not a reproduction.
The fabric is in excellent condition - no tears, holes, odors, or stains from use or the like. There are however quite a few hand production flaws. Some of the dye is on the border, some in areas where a certain color shouldn't be, some places where the block pattern doesn't quite line up or where the dye is out of the pattern lines. One corner has a funky fold. Maybe someone new to hand blocking or maybe just an unsteady hand? Interesting just the same. I have included photos of some of the areas. There are some more small dye spots around the edge and some I may have missed, but these are the most obvious. However, Overall it still looks nice, just has a lot of hand "character".
