This Shakespeare rod is from the mid 1930's, made by Edwards for Shakespeare. I've looked though old catalog's at http://classicflyrodforum.com/. There are several models that it maybe but as all the markings and decals were removed at some time. The rod is 6.2oz on my postal scale. Butt section is 38 3/4" mid is 37 7/8" tips 37 1/4" & 38". Ferrules are 19/64" and 12/64" feels like a 7-8wt to me. Rod has a up locking reel seat with a covered front hood, grip is a 6 3/8" full wells in good shape no ridges, the varnish and the wraps are in good shape, no breaks or cracks in the bamboo. Ferrules are all in good shape tight to the rod and fit good. Its ready to go fishing.
Will ship in a black ABS tube, and a new bag.
