LM stands for Layout Manager.

The program allows the operator to do all the layout work by himself with the Trimble Robotic Total Stations.

Very productive program just like the Trimble MEP program.

For instance, in your stakeout operation you can set up "next point" to the closest one instead of following the listing.

That avoids a lot of long distance back and forth which saves a tremendous amount of time.

The LM80 is no doubt one of the best layout management programs out  there.

On top of that the SatViewer can be used for GPS data acquisition as well.
