Description

We offer this early photograph of China's Zhou Enlai, woven onto silk cloth. He was the first Premier of the People's Republic of China ruling 1954-1976. Lived from 1898-1976. We estimate this dates from sometime in his ruling years.
     This black & white silk piece measures 4-1/4 x 6-1/2 inches (10.8 x 16.5 cm). Because it is woven into the cloth the reverse of the image (like in a negative) shows on the back side. Medium weight silk. Lightly frayed edges. Crease upper left corner (can be ironed out but we will leave that to you). Overall in very good condition.
