Highlights

Trizact™ abrasives can last up to five times longer than conventional abrasives

Flexible JE-weight backing enables the abrasive to follow surface contours

Good for intermediate finishing and fine polishing prior to plating

Grinding aid lowers operating temperature – reducing the risk for part discolouration

Ideal for intermediate finishing and fine polishing prior to plating or buffing

Rolls are fast and flexible for ad hoc use

Use 3M™ Trizact™ Cloth Roll 307EA for low to medium applications on a variety of hard metals. Our 307EA cloth rolls contain a flexible JE-weight backing that enables the abrasive to follow surface contours.

Efficiently abrade hard metals like carbon steel, titanium, cobalt chrome, stainless steel and other high nickel alloys with 3M™ Trizact™ Cloth 307EA. Our 307EA cloth rolls are commonly used in metal fabrication, orthopaedic implants, surgical instruments, plating and polishing. A flexible JE-weight backing enables the abrasive to follow surface contours, making it ideal for projects that require a conformable, off-hand abrasive – such as final finishing on carbon and steel. An aggressive mineral combined with the flexible backing permit the abrasive to cut efficiently without marring the surface, so it is to precede plating and prep the workpiece for an even metal coating. A grinding aid keeps the abrasive running cool and reduces the risk for discolouring or warping the substrate. 3M Trizact abrasives revitalise light dimensioning and finishing work by reducing processing steps, increasing throughput and creating consistency. Large benefits are achieved through a 3M technology called microreplication. During microreplication, small three-dimensional structures resembling pyramids adhere to a backing. These pyramids contain layers of mineral that begin to break down after repeated use, continually exposing fresh mineral. This cycle of mineral renewal sustains the abrasive’s sharpness. The ongoing sharp cutting action reduces the need to swap out the abrasive, contributing to higher throughput and increased productivity. Additionally, because the mineral is uniformly distributed over the abrasive surface, the workpiece receives fixed, rather than erratic, contact for a consistent cut. From medical implants and surgical tools to automotive transmission components, 3M Trizact abrasives are uniquely suited for projects with acute technical requirements – delivering a consistent finish part after part.
