Here we have a superbly illustrated original card from the 1920's featuring the characters 'Giuseppe and Marco Palmieri', from the Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera "The Gondoliers".

The reverse side provides information about the plot and the role of these characters.

Issued in 1925 by John Player & Sons this cigarette card measures 67 x 36 mm.

In very good condition.
