Unesia® is indicated for the treatment of mycosis in the nails of the feet and hands caused by fungi and yeasts.
Onychomycosis is a disease that affects the nails of both feet and hands and is caused by fungi, which can be dermatophytes. Dermatophytes are filamentous fungi that cause skin, hair and nail infections, affecting the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The most common thing is that the fungi affect the toenails, this due to the ideal conditions that occur in them for the fungi to develop.

How to Use: Apply once a day a thin layer of Unesia® ointment on the affected nail(s) and perform a light massage, preferably before going to bed. A small amount of the medicine is usually sufficient, for example, 1 cm of ointment on the affected area. As a hygienic support measure for the treatment, it is recommended to wash and dry the affected skin areas well before application. To achieve a lasting therapeutic result, it is recommended not to suspend treatment with Unesia® when the acute inflammatory symptoms or discomfort subside or disappear, but to continue the application until the treatment cycles are completed and continue applying for one or two more weeks.

Modo de Empleo: Aplicar una vez al día una fina capa de pomada Unesia® sobre la(s) uña(s) afectada(s) y realizar un ligero masaje, preferiblemente antes de acostarse. Una pequeña cantidad del medicamento suele ser suficiente, por ejemplo, 1 cm de pomada sobre la zona afectada. Como medida higiénica de apoyo al tratamiento, se recomienda lavar y secar bien las zonas de piel afectadas antes de la aplicación. Para conseguir un resultado terapéutico duradero, se recomienda no suspender el tratamiento con Unesia® cuando los síntomas inflamatorios agudos o las molestias remitan o desaparezcan, sino continuar la aplicación hasta completar los ciclos de tratamiento y seguir aplicando durante una o dos semanas más.
