THIS IS A SUPERB ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY ROSEMALED NORWEGIAN SCANDINAVIAN HAND CARVED AND PAINTED BOX FROM THE OS REGION OF NORWAY OF GREAT BEAUTY.   THE TINE BOX IS FROM A SUPERB LIFETIME COLLECTION OF NORWEGIAN ROSEMALING FOLK ART, MUCH OF IT MUSEUM QUALITY.  WE WILL BE LISTING ITEMS FROM THIS COLLECTION REGULARLY.

THE BOX IS 5.5 INCHES TALL AND THE TOP IS 5.5 INCHES WIDE. 
WITH ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR ORIGINAL OS ROSEMALING PAINTING.  THE FLOWER MOTIF PAINTING IS A RARE COMBINATION OF COLORS AGAINST A WHITE BACKGROUND.  THE PAINTING HAS YELLOW, ORANGE, RED, BLUE, PINK AND CREAM COLORED FLOWERS WITH GREEN LEAVES.  THE BOX DATES TO THE 19TH CENTURY AND IS A LOVELY SIZE.
