Here we have a stunning mustard pot dating to the early 1800s.  The mustard pot is decorated with 4 black mocha trees around the side with coffee color glaze on a wide band.  In order for the potter to form the trees, he first turned the pot upside down and let the black glaze flow down the side spreading out forming the trees.  Before firing, the potter added the foliate terminal handle.  The pot measures 3 ¼” to the rim by 2” across the rim.  This is near mint condition with minor glaze wear on the inside of the rim, a faint line at the rim that doesn't go through and no repairs.
