This does have staining.  The handle needs to be pushed up further on metal pole but I didn't force.  Some of the metal pieces holding cloth open are curved  this looks like it can be fixed.  I am guessing the handle is bskelite, it has surface wear.  This has its flaws  but is a very interesting umbrella.  I am happy to send any additional pictures of areas you would like to see closer. It weighs about 1 lb.
