Vintage L.T.Piver, Azurea Perfume Bottle w France Circa 1924 w some Perfume

Description

Up for auction is a vintage L. T. Piver, Azurea perfume bottle with perfume.  This bottle and fragrance were made in France.   This fragrance was introduced in 1897 and was sold in major French and United States stores by 1901.  I foumd an advertisement for this particular bottle for the year 1924.   Although this bottle is not pristine, it is still very unusual to have a bottle like this due to the age and scarcity of these old perfume bottles.
  • The is a clear glass bottle which is rectangular in shape, with a smooth front and the backside has alternating panels that are roughly 1/8 inch wide.
  • The stopper comes off easily and is a prism shaped stopper which is about 1 inch + or – wide.
    • The bottle neck has several flea bites around the neck and a small chink on top of the neck area of bottle that was difficult to photo.  See last photo.
    • There is still a little under half of the fragrance/perfume remaining.  Due to the age (100 years old), it is not guaranteed.
  • There is still some cording around the neck which appears to be string and not a metal cording.
  • The paper label on the front of the bottle is in poor condition.  It is dirty and has a few tears in the corners.
  • The underside of the bottle is embossed:  FRANCE, and the underside is very smooth, but not polished.
  • The height of the bottle is 3 ¼ inches tall.
