ALL REGION - TROOPING THE COLOUR 2023 - THE KING'S BIRTHDAY PARADE.

BY 1ST BATTALION WELSH GUARDS DVD

This year sees the first King's Birthday Parade since 1950 and there are three new Royal Colonel's on parade today.

The newly formed 1st Battalion London Guards an Army Reserve component of the Foot Guards took part for the first time as Street Liners guarding the processional route.

Those Foot Guards taking part this year represent all Regiments as follows: 

Escort for the Colour - 1st Battalion Welsh Guards.

No 2 Guard - 1st Battalion Welsh Guards.

No 3 Guard - Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards.

No 4 Guard - F Company Scots Guards.

No 5 Guard - 9 Company Irish Guards.

No 6 Guard - 7 Company Coldstream Guards.

The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery.

The Life Guards.

The Blues and Royals,

The Household Division Massed Bands.

The Household Cavalry Mounted Band.

Street Liners,

1st Battalion Grenadier Guards.

1st Battalion Coldstream Guards.

1st Battalion Irish Guards.

1st Battalion Welsh Guards,

1st Battalion London Guards.

There is a substantial fly past of 70 aircraft by all 3 services.

The Commentator is the Huw Edwards assisted by JJ Chalmers.  The special guests are Colonel Henry Llewelyn-Usher and Major Vicki Fraser.  Run time approximately 90 minutes.
