This update will not enable Bluetooth streaming music on MMI 3G Low units. To stream music via Bluetooth you'll need a third party add-on accessory which can be found in my other listing.
This is the latest software update for the Audi MMI 3G Basic system. Note that this is not a map update, but a system firmware update. If you want to update your map database, look in the next ad. This update can be installed by yourself in about 1 hour, no wizard help or coding required, update instructions can be found below.

You can check your current software version by going to Setup -> Settings -> Version Information.


This CD will update your software to the latest version of BNav_EU_K0260_1_D1 (8R0906961DP):

MMI 3G Basic navigation systems can be identified by checking the MMI software version by going to Setup -> Settings -> Version Information. Firmware versions always start with BNav or 3G, see examples below.

MMI 3G Basic Systems are usually installed in the following models:

Audi A4/S4/RS4 (2008 - 2016)

Audi A5/S5/RS5 (2008 - 2017)

Audi A6/S6/RS6 (2009 - 2011)

Audi Q5/SQ5 (2009 - 2017)

Audi Q7 (2010 - 2015)

WARNING: DO NOT use firmware update files downloaded from the Internet, Audi firmware updates MUST be modified according to the equipment installed in the car. You will lose all sound if the wrong software update is applied to the car. We can provide a software update package tailored to your vehicle.

Prerequisites:

Connect the vehicle with a battery charger OR leave the engine running during the update procedure.

Turn off the headlights, heated seats, and climate control to avoid draining the battery.

Before starting, remove all SD cards/CD/DVD drives from the MMI system.

Start the car and allow the MMI system to initialize for 1-2 minutes before starting.

Do not remove the DVD disc from the MMI system during the upgrade.

If your firmware version starts with "BNav", you can update directly to "BNav_EU_K0260".

Updating the software version:

Enter the Engineering Menu by pressing the SETUP button followed immediately by the RETURN button. Hold down both buttons for a few seconds.

Insert the software update disc into the dashboard DVD slot and wait 2 minutes.

Select the "Update" option by pressing the lower right selection button next to the center control button.

Select "CD/DVD" as the source by pressing the center control knob.

Select software update by pressing the center control button.

Select "Standard".

You will see a list with all the categories that the software will update. Scroll down to the bottom and select "Start download".

Select "Start".

After a few minutes/hours (it depends on what needs to be updated), the software update will be complete. The system may reboot several times. When the system reboots, the MMI will show the progress of the various device updates. This is done automatically and requires no action.

When the update is complete, the message "Device Summary" will appear on the screen. Scroll down to the bottom and select Continue.

Select "Abort Documentation". The system will reboot for the last time. The update is complete.

What are the biggest benefits of updating your car software?

The biggest benefit of the Audi MMI update is that it can help fix many bugs associated with the operation of older versions of the MMI software. Sometimes you may find that the current version of MMI does not work as it should. The upgrade can take your driving experience to a whole new level!
For example, there are problems with the Bluetooth connection. There are fewer and fewer of them, but there are still situations when the wireless connection does not work as it should.
