Silvered bronze, worn in numbers on the surface of the jerkin, to provide a measure of protection against sword cuts and, in fact, were a form of armor. As protectors, they also held spiritual significance for the warrior.  Slender bun section, just under 7/8” (0.85”) width the ring roped in full relief. The spiral or coil was a favorite Viking decorative motif. The surface textured and worn from burial.
