Silvered bronze, worn in numbers on the surface of the jerkin, to provide a measure of protection against sword cuts and, in fact, were a form of armor. As protectors, they also held spiritual significance for the warrior.  Slender bun section, just under 7/8” (0.85”) width the ring roped in full relief. The spiral or coil was a favorite Viking decorative motif. The surface textured and worn from burial. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored, on an 18” polished leather neck cord for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
