You are viewing a custom Harp Mic built here at The Harp Mic Shop.  The body is from a vintage AKG D590 gooseneck microphone.  The gooseneck and original AGG element have been removed completely and the body and grille of the D590 have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to assembly.

A small Philips dynamic element with a foil diaphragm has been installed in place of the original AKG element which was much smaller in size.  The Philips element has a nice gritty tone that is similar to a Shure Controlled Magnetic element and the transformer boosts the microphone to High Impedance to provide a strong output with excellent breakup, nice bottom end, minimal feedback and Big Fat Tone.

The microphone is less than 4 inches long from the front of the grille to the bottom of the 1/4" jack and is 1 1/2" in diameter at the widest part of the shell.  The size is perfect for harp players with smaller hands.

You definitely won't be disappointed with this Custom Microphone.  It has a huge sound for such a small microphone and is chocked full of Big Fat Tone!
