ABOUT ME

Alex and Gail Marksz a husband and wife team for over thirty years. Sole designers and creators of our unique one of a kind wearable art pieces. Exhibiting our work exclusively at acclaimed Art Shows throughout the United States.

I like the idea of craftsmanship that has been a part of every culture. Jewelry as personal adornment is as old as mankind. As with all things, I draw from the past but work very much in the present offering you an elegant, fun, contemporary look. a BIG Bold look.

My work satisfies a needed realization of expression, a commitment and unstoppable desire to be involved in jewelry as an art as well as a profession. It is an essential part of who I am.

I attended Chaminade College of Honolulu where, although my major was Mathematics, my artistic interests went from drawing, to clay and, finally, to metals. I have tried to keep my work fresh by attending concentrated metals/jewelry workshops adding new techniques to my “design bag”.

Opposed to casting repetitive designs and elements we hand fabricate and construct each and every piece using sterling silver and 14kt gold. This art form offers unlimited potential in creativity. Our motivation - the natural beauty of the many fossils, agates, jaspers and gemstones Mother Earth has created over a millennium exposing us to palettes of colors and designs unparalleled by man.

It is our ability to tame the energy of these organic materials, each bending to the will of applied elements creating form, dimension and purpose resulting in truly distinctive wearable works of art.
