Rare 'BK' insignia Sennheiser MKH-816 P48 Shot/Rifle gun microphone. This classic low noise vintage microphone is perfect for recording, dialogue, sports and wildlife at a distance. It's a low noise RF condenser too, so isn't prone to moisture like other condenser capsules, so really great in the field
It's the same on axis sound as the film dialogue industry standard MKH416, but doesn't have such a bass roll off at a distance.
This is the proper 48 volt phantom power version too, no need for the cumbersome power draining adapters needed for the MKH816T which is 12v 'T' powered.
The mic itself is in really good condition and sounds fabulous, only a few little nicks and tiny scratches, which are all in the pictures. Really not noticeable even when zoomed in.
The box on the other hand really does need a bit of TLC, but has protected the mic great for all the years.
