Description

Nimble, subtle, and adaptable. Under a PFD, over the handlebars, down the track. That’s my baby. I pirated the nicely articulated shoulders and arms from the Camp Coat, and grafted on the rear pockets from the Jackpine Vest, leaving a sleek shirt that follows your form through any activity. Why, you ask? Because moving is cool. Consider this a turbo sweater- a cozy, fast-wicking, fluffy version of every other fleece zip-t on the market. But unlike your delicate poly sports top, the GF won’t skunk out when you’re done with your ski, or get the pox from the bonfire.

Truth be told: I just wanted to ride my Fatbike. And what better way to tweak this design than to work with Surly Bikes, parents of the Pugsley, Moonlander, and Ice Cream Truck. They were invaluable in testing, retesting, and refining this shirt. Many thanks!

The GF’s1/3 length zippered placket lets in plenty of air when you need it. The polyester fleece throughout the chest and collar sucks sweat off your skin, and gives you a more protection from headwinds. I’ve circled the hem with a draw cord so you can leave it long, or cinch it up. Roll up the cuffs to free your hands for tasks, or clip them down with snaps to seal out drafts. There are two generous chest pockets for your car keys or electronics. I’ve clad the elbows in Supplex Nylon to ward off damage.

The Grey Fox Pullover is a complete nod to fashion. It has color matched elbow patches and zippers. I planted two chest pockets up high, and placed an oh-so-cozy fleece lined belly pocket on the front panel. The latter hides an double sided nylon security pouch to keep your valuables from banging around while you move.

Fabric: 100% wool, and recycled polyester fleece. Nylon trim. Colors: Olive Green. Sizes SM-XL. There will be variations in textile, zipper, and thread coloring based on availability. Washing: Hand wash or machine wash cold, gentle cycle, front loading machine only. No bleach. Spin dry to remove moisture, then hang dry in a warm spot. You can dry clean our garments, but it’s icky. You will see lint, it’s expected. I’ve pre-washed everything to shrink it as much as possible, but a little extra caution goes a long way. Our wool is stabilized, but the nylon thread, webbing, and trim will shrink if they get too hot.

*The Grey Fox Pullover is occasionally available in Multi Tone Olive. (MTO). Our wool garments come from USGI Olive Green blankets. Though I try to cut them as efficiently as possible, they offer up piles of remnants. Rather than let these go to waste, I’ll use these various shades of #7 OD green fabric in concert to create unique (and slightly less expensive) garments. No two are alike.
