This wonderful antique Japanese Cloisonné vase is a beautiful piece of art from the Meji era. The vase is pleasingly shaped, with a wonderful organic form, and measures 4” tall by 3” wide, in excellent condition. No chips cracks or repairs. Polish is beautiful and the artist was well in control of the surface. No pitting or bubble pops. Beautifully fired and polished. This piece is marked with the remnants of a label that I think might have been Ando, but it’s hard to determine from what left of it. Please take note of the exceptional use of color and shading. The subject seems to be formed in silver wire. The piece is quite heavy and well constructed for its size, with a wonderful globular shape, set against high shoulders, tapering down to the diminutive foot. The naturalistic design showcases the intricate work of the artisan. This item is a perfect addition to any collection of Asian antiques, especially for those who appreciate the art and history of Japan. Don't miss out on the chance to own this unique and exquisite piece of history.
