3M Scotch-Brite EX2 Deburring Wheel X2-WL, 609mm x 75mm x 305mm, 8A MED 65045

Highlights

Wheel edge can be dressed for effective deburring, finishing and polishing of all metal alloys and many plastics and composites

Tough, layered, unitized construction can operate clockwise or counterclockwise directions

Densities and grades ranging from soft and conformable to hard and aggressive offer utility for a wide variety of applications

Resists smearing for cleaner surfaces and less preparation

Unique resin system produces less smearing, reducing clean and prep time

Scotch-Brite™ EX2 Deburring Wheel is a convolute-constructed wheel that provides mid-range aggressiveness and hardness for deburring, edge radius, blending, polishing, and finishing. Our deburring wheel performs best when consistently presented with a sharp edge or metal burrs.

Featuring a high performance combination of mineral and density, Scotch-Brite™ EX2 Deburring Wheel is suited to applications where a moderate degree of conformability, wheel hardness and edge retention are needed. Our deburring wheels have a unique resin system that helps minimise smearing and reduces heat build-up. They run cool and resist loading due to their open-web construction. This reduces the risk of part discolouration and warping, while extending the life of the wheel. They are available with silicon carbide or aluminium oxide abrasive mineral. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing. Aluminium oxide is a hard, blocky mineral that provides high cut-rate and long life. While silicon carbide breaks down faster than aluminium oxide, it produces a finer finish EX2 Deburring Wheels are available in fine and medium grade. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into a non-woven fibre matrix. Combining abrasives and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibres.
