  A girl falls from the sky! The story begins when a boy, Pazoo, helps the girl. The girl's name is Theta. It was chased by men of the pirate pirates in the sky and the black glasses of the riddle. Guided by the mysterious glow of the ""flying stone"" that Theta had, they will eventually set foot in the legendary castle ""Laputa"" floating in the heavens.
  Miyazaki, who has worked on lively works worthy of being describeed as ""manga movies"", such as ""Future Boy Conan"" and ""Lupin III Cagliostro's Castle"", showed his naturalness again. With the motif of ""flying"" that often appears in his works at the center of the story, he made it into an old-fashioned and exciting adventure play. There are plenty of other familiar elements in Miyazaki anime, such as a straight, action-filled boy, a pretty and strong girl, and a villain who seems scary at first look but lovable.
