It's so much fun to not only collect Barbie dolls and clothing, but accessories like school items that some of us can almost remember carrying to school! I purchased this from the original owner.
This case is in wonderful condition and the "blotches" that seem to show up in the pictures of the back of the case are not really there. It is just from the shiny surface and the way that the camera took the photo. There are random scuffs on the back, but nothing bad at all.
On the front where Barbie's chin and neck meet there is a very tiny scratch in the white paint that is pictured. That is all there is that is mentionable.
The zipper glides well and the case is clean at 63 years old!
This pencil case says Mattel Inc 1961 along the bottom edge.
