Bog Blueberry
Latin name: Vaccinium uliginosum
The bog bilberry is a deciduous shrub, produces small,
juicy, sweet fruit. It can be eaten raw or cooked and even dried like raisins.
The fruit is a reasonable source of vitamin C. Additionally, its leaves and
dried fruits can be used to make tea. The plant has various medicinal
properties, including being antiseptic, astringent, carminative, hypnotic, and
hypoglycemic. Traditionally, it's been used to aid in childbirth recovery.
