Walking Stick Cabbage - Jersey Kale 

Latin name: Brassica oleracea longata 

Plants grow to a height of 2 m (6.5 ft) in the first year, but can reach the height of 3 m (10 ft) in the second year. 

However, they sometimes freeze during hard winters. 

They should be tied up. Wood stalking can be used as a walking stick after drying. 

This is the only species which, thanks to its height, is spared from the wild hares even at 1 m (3.3 ft) of snow.
