Packard Bell EasyNote GN45 14'' Widescreen laptop with DVD drive

This is a decent laptop in black. It is in excellent condition and looks very well looked after, aside from a cosmetic crack in the screen surround (see image). It has a 1.6GHz Intel T5200 Core 2 Duo Dual Core processor, 14'' widescreen display, Intel Mobile 945GM graphics, card reader slot and 3 USB ports. It would be ideal for mobile office work, eBay, YouTube, internet searching, light gaming and publishing requirements. The laptop comes pre-loaded with a fully updated version of MX Linux XFCE and LibreOffice on a 120GB hard drive. The laptop is also Wifi-ready. The battery holds a short charge for around 20 minutes and a power supply will come with the laptop.

If you've never used Linux before, it's much like Windows only faster, with Firefox for internet browsing (YouTube, eBay, Facebook etc.) and VLC for watching videos and DVDs.

What do you mean 'repaired'?

Most of the laptops we fix have simple faults like worn-out hard drives, faulty memory or damaged screens. Defective parts are removed, replaced and upgraded and the internals are vacuumed out to remove all the dust and dirt. The internal clock battery is replaced if needed and everything is checked over before being rebuilt.

So I don't end up with someone else's old files?

No - all hard drives are fully erased and a fresh copy of the operating system is installed (and activated where needed). We then carry out a full OS update to make sure the computer is ready to use as soon as it arrives.

So can I play game 'X' on this laptop?

We always try to help determine if a laptop will play your favourite game, but we recommend you do your own research before buying. The website Game Debate is an excellent reference point.

But I want to play the very latest games, run hundreds of tasks at once and never have to wait for anything...

Our laptops are good, but not that good! If you need a super-powerful, ultra-modern laptop that screams through all your tasks, you'll need to spend many hundreds of pounds more than we ask for our laptops. But you really knew that already, didn't you?
