This listing is for a 1984 NGC MS67RD Doubled Die Obverse FS-101 Lincoln Cent with dramatic doubling on the ear. Deeply lustrous and full red. The planchet shows the typical bubbly type appearance. This was caused when gas bubbles got trapped under the copper shell during the not yet perfected copper coating of zinc planchets (changed from copper in 1982). A once common variety that was easily obtainable into '66 and '67 grades. Price guide slashing by one of the major price guides sent these into hibernation. Nice examples a quickly plucked from the market by savvy collectors. Please see the pics for details. Thanks for looking!
