It can connect to your wifi router and "call" BBS from internet.

There is a modem reset button and 2 micro switches that allow to disable UP9600 hack to be able to use the modem in C128 mode together with 1571 drive by falling back to 2400bps, if there is no 1571 drive connected it can work in C128 mode with UP9600 hack enabled. The second micro switch is to enable or disable powering the device from computer itself so it can be used with external usb power incase you have instability because of power supply. 

There are instructions included for configuring CCGMS 2021 terminal client and configuring the modem for use in a C64.    

There are a TON of active BBSes for Commodore Computers and new active developing software clients for it like CCGMS 2021

This Wifi modem is based on the Strikelink firmware by Alwyz which is the active developer of the famous CCGMS client for Commodore 64 and the case is 3D printed.
