The TS1810 uses an external multi-sensor paired with a countdown timer
to save energy. If no infrared (IR) remote-control signals or motion are
detected in the TV room through the duration of the countdown timer,
the Advanced and Energy Saving Surge Protector will remove power to the
TV/control outlet and four switched outlets. 2 always-on outlets always
have power supplied to them. Ten minutes prior to removing power to any
outlets, the unit will flash an LED warning light and sound a soft chirp
warning. To cancel the shutdown event and reset the countdown timer,
press any button on an infrared remote control or wave to the
multi-sensor (initiate movement). This removes all phantom or vampire
power from connected devices while they are off and unused. Saving
energy saves money from your utility bill. To turn the TV system back
on, power must first be restored to the TS1810 units control and
switched outlets. Simply send the TS1810 any IR command from your remote
to turn it on. Next, use your IR remote to power on the TV like normal.
Mount the multi-sensor to the TV near the TVs own infrared sensor and
facing the TV room. The default countdown timer setting is 75 minutes;
it can be set to either 135 minutes or 8-hour for music mode. Plug
devices that always need power such as set-top boxes or digital video
recorders into the always-on outlets. Plug the TV into the control
outlet. Plug devices that can have power safely removed from them into
