Alexander Sanderson Designs presents the second of a collection of three dolls, dressed as historical Queens.

Mary Queen of Scots is a large 17" bisque porcelain doll, dressed in historical costume inspired by her National Portrait Gallery portrait.

Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots was Queen of France, Scotland and laid claim to the throne of England. After nineteen years of imprisonment she was beheaded, on the order of her cousin Queen Elizabeth I, after she was found guilty of high treason.

An original costume design, crafted from black cotton-velvet, taffeta, lace, pearl trim and diamante embellishment. She sports a net gauze veil and a silver crucifix hangs from her waist. Under her over-skirts she wears petticoats and pantalets.

She comes with her own original stand.

All dolls are dressed using traditional costuming techniques (where possible) but in miniature. Each doll generally takes several days to dress and are highly detailed.

Our Queen Anne Boleyn doll is also currently for sale. Please see our other listings for other dolls & puppets from Alexander Sanderson Designs.

Please read the condition description and look at pics carefully as they form an important part of my description as a whole.
