Vintage copper electric kettle made by Swan of Birmingham. This kettle was used by the vendor as the family kettle in the 1970s-90s, but whilst the plug that connects to the heating element is included in the sale, for safety reasons the lead has been removed and the kettle is sold as a non-working decorative item.

The kettle is made from copper and brass, with a wooden handle and [probable] bakelite knob. The element was replaced in the late 1970s and has a plastic shroud and plug. It has a good patina and a few minor dings consistent with its age.
