"Interesting design with seating surface twisted at the edges. This chair is from the 'Sonett' garden furniture series by the tubular steel manufacturers Karl Fostel Senior's Erben. The design developed entirely from the lines of the black lacquered steel rods. This produced a seating surface which twists over the edges as well as the decorative, graphic-like triangles that form the legs and the backrest. The seating surface and the backrest are made from wickerwork. The manufacturer Karl Fostel Senior's Erben was known for designing innovative garden furniture, which became more and more popular as metal emerged as a suitable material for furniture construction. It is in good, original condition with traces of age and usage on the wickerwork.".
