Description

"James Pollard was the son of Robert Pollard, a Newcastle man who had established himself in Holloway as an engraver. He was a painter of sporting pictures in a flat but attractive technique. Numerous prints were engraved after him by Rosenberg, Hunt, Harris and others and he also acquatinted some plates himself."



 

1927 Tipped-In Plate from a collection from The Studio of Famous Sporting Prints - Hunting.

Full plate 12 inches by 9 1/4 inches with actual print measurements in Item Specifics above, offering cream margin highly suitable for framing.

This is an original vintage print which is 92 years old and in mint condition, there may be slight foxing to backing sheet, blank on reverse.
