Warranty:

We include a 3-month return to base coverage from the date of arrival.

Our technician will provide support (simply contact us). If the initial remote diagnostics highlight the need, we may request for you to get the item to us for servicing (within 30 days, repair/replace, or refund available); after the initial 30 days, a refund will only be arranged if repair or replacement is not possible. After the initial 30 days, the onus of the postage cost is with the buyer.

  1. During the service, we cannot be held responsible for any data loss that may occur, as we may be required to reinstall the Operating System (which will erase previous data).
  2. We are unable to offer data recovery. As a good practice, we advise our customers to regularly back up their data. 
  3. This does not apply to cosmetic wear due to use, nor existing issue(s) already noted in the original listing, nor does it cover any consumable part (e.g. the battery). During the service, if damage due to misuse is found, e.g. liquid/drops, cracked glass, etc, then the cover will be voided (set out fully in the "additional return policy details" below).

We know that getting the item on time is important - so here are more details. 
  1. We will use an insured tracked service (signature needed). Enter your mobile at the checkout to receive tracking updates (optional). 

  2. Next-Day dispatch is the norm for most items (same-day dispatch is being trialled on the listings that show a 10 am cut-off).


  3. The delivery will be during the weekdays only. Orders placed on Friday/ around a Bank Holiday will arrive early next week. Where the Next Day Service is unavailable ( e.g. Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands), we'll use a 2-3 days service. Have a non-standard UK address? (e.g. Armed Forces) Simply contact us if additional postal instruction may be needed. We also offer eBay's Click & Collect.









 

Standard VAT & Margin VAT Scheme Explained:

  1. The Standard VAT scheme is charged at 20%, where the eligible VAT registered UK business may be able to claim this back. EU Customers: we're unable to zero VAT.
  2. The VAT Margin Scheme is frequently used for second-hand/refurbished goods - where the price you see includes the VAT, but the VAT cannot be claimed back nor displayed separately on the invoice. 

How does the VAT Margin Scheme affect you?

  • If you’re a consumer buying for personal use, then it doesn’t affect you at all. The price you see is the price you pay. However, if you're VAT registered businesses (or other such organisation that could normally claim back the VAT on eligible purchases), then you will not be able to claim back the VAT on the goods sold on the VAT margin scheme.

  • Within the first 30 days, you may return your order for a repair or refund. The refund option will not available after the 30 days (unless the repair/replacement are not available). Do back up your data, we do not offer a data recovery/transfer service.

  • The buyer is responsible for ensuring the item arrives back safely, in the same condition as shipped. If the product is returned in a damaged condition, we reserve the right to deduct proportionate depreciation in value when product. Internationally, mark as "Returned Goods" to avoid any Customs charges. We are not responsible for any charge imposed on packages returned unless otherwise agreed upon.
    Our international shipping is processed by eBay Global Shipping Programme.
    1. We use the same 24-hour service to send the parcel to eBay for processing, who then sends the parcel out to you.
    2. eBay GSP handles the logistics & protects the item against damage in international transit.
    3. If you are an EU buyer: we typically automatically swap the UK plug cable for the EU cable.

    • The goods that we offer have been checked & tested by our technicians. We've included detailed description & photos (aimed to be fair, though critical where needed). So, you'll have a better sense of what to expect.

    • We do not guarantee that the device's battery life will reach the manufacturer's estimate - as it varies significantly with settings, usage & other factors. The charger & battery included with laptops will have a 30 days warranty with us only.

    • To ensure the end user's privacy: we're unable to supply the serial number before the delivery. Where the item is not received, we may register the serial with loss and theft databases to help prevent any fraudulent use or reselling of the item.

    Your order dispatch speed is not affected. We use the premium insured couriers services, which are operating normally. Until we are told otherwise, it is business as usual at CruiseTech.

    • In line with the most recent UK Government Guideline (published on the 23rd March), it is noted that: "Online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery service will run as normal." This way, you could have the laptop delivered safely, quickly to your doorstep.
    • We always take health & safety, and the wellbeing of our staff seriously at CruiseTech. We are closely monitoring the developments & are following the guidelines. Sanitiser gel has been made available in all office areas, staff have been instructed to follow the best practice in handwashing & cleaning. An increase in the cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, such as door handles. All non-operational staff are working remotely. They will receive the Statutory Sick Pay if they’re feeling unwell and wish to self-isolate. We do not offer any in-person order collection option, in order to safeguard both parties. The HEPA air purification system has been proactively installed in the area where the orders are packaged. It will remove 99.97% of airborne ultrafine particles, dust, allergens, gases as small as 0.003um. This is aimed to enhance the general workplace air quality, and not related to the current situation (which is smaller than what the commercial HEPA systems could often filter).
