HONDA CBR 929 FIREBLADE
2000 /2001 GEAR BOX

Welcome to my listing for this CBR 929 gear box. It was removed from a 2002 bike with 23,600 miles on the clocks.

When I bought the bike I was told the bike rode as it should with no gear change problems at all . No jumping out of 2nd or 4th the bike was being used right up till I bought it by a 57 year old that had the bike 5 years and and had done very little mileage.
 
Also I know what to look for on the gears and the dogs when its removed. its easy to spot the fault if you know what you are looking for (been stripping and checking the cbr 929/954 gear boxes for 17 years now) I only strip CBR 929 Bikes

I also rode the bike myself and really gave it a wrist full right up to red line in 2nd and 4th gears and there was no problems at all with the gears.

The gear box is in very very good used condition with minimal wear from use and is up there with the best gearboxes I have had in the last 17 years. These are getting very hard to find in this condition so if you need one of the best used gearbox you can find here it is.

The CBR 929 gearbox can be fitted in to the CBR 954.  we have done this more than once and have had at least 5 customers do it as well. The only thing is you must fit the hole gearbox you can not swop parts from one to the other. All the gearing is the same , and the same size in all gears. the only difference is the 929 has 5 dogs on the gears and the 954 has 4 dogs to save a gram or two in weight . So in fact the 929 gearbox is stronger than the 954.The hole gearbox is a straight swop


Sorry to have to say this to all you honest ebayers. But there are no returns on this item. All the gears have been photographed extensively, and security marked to ensure no swapping can take place. I will not be responsible for incorrect or poor fitment of this part. All parts should be checked to make sure you are happy with them before fitting  and should be  fitted by a qualified mechanic and should be checked for safety before use
