MA-1 - The Story: 

For over 50 years, the classic US Air Force flight jacket. The MA-1 was introduced in the 1950s and immediately established itself as a classic flight jacket of the fighter jet era. It was specially designed for colder climate zones. (-5°C) You can also turn the jacket inside out so that you can use the Indian orange inner lining for better visibility in an emergency. This made it easier for crashed pilots to be located and quickly found by rescue teams. The MA-1 was introduced in 1959 and pilots were equipped with this jacket until 1977. Even Jack Yeager wore this jacket when he broke the sound barrier.
The unique quality is created by 57 perfectly coordinated sewing sections in the production of each individual Alpha MA-1.
