This 2nd edition of Clark's O.N.T. J. & P. Coats, Book No. 255, Ideas for Gifts was published by The Spool Cotton Company and printed in New York, USA in 1949

Book has 16 pages (they include the covers) and approximately 30 patterns including a toy lamb, a pin cushion, bed jacket, glass cozies called jackets, slippers, pot holders and curtain pulls, plus more

The cover is in good condition for it's age, but it does have '$2.00' written in ink on the face.

The spine is worn, but there are no missing, torn or marked up/stained pages.

Page 10 is dog eared and other pages have small folds along the top outside corner. 

The Canadian Spool Cotton Co. (aka Canada Thread Co. aka Spool Cotton Company) was already producing thread and yarn in Montreal merging with J. & P. Coats and Clark's in 1901. They started publishing crochet and knitting patterns to use with their yarn and thread as early as 1916.
