I hung the clock and got it to work, however, it does not stay running. Cuckoo clocks need a specific balance in order to keep running. They are wound but likely just need an adjustment to the pendulum by someone more experienced. I believe it needs the perfect balance to keep running. It was owned by my grandfather and did work when it was packed away many years ago. I do not believe it makes a sound other than the click of the swing/tick tock of the clock.
