This Customized DID Figure represents a US Soldier in the 761st Tank Battalion. These soldiers were the "Black Panthers". The 761st was a segregated unit that fought in Europe during 1944-45. During the winter of 1944 the 761st fought constantly and took heavy casualties.

Not every soldier fought in a tank. There were soldiers who supported the tanks. They had several soldiers who acted as scouts. These soldiers would venture ahead of the tanks and report enemy positions using Handie Talkies radios. They would be armed with rifles, carbines, SMGs and sometimes bazookas
