Photograph Notes: There is CCTV and a host of warning signs on the gate. One of the signs warns of ionising radiation. This tower isn't marked on the OS map, but it has been here since 2005. It is apparently run by the Met Office. It is certainly high enough to get a good view of the Thames Estuary, and indeed much of North Kent. There is an article about it here ://metoffice.gov.uk/olympics/doppler-radar-and-london-2012 and here ://metoffice.gov.uk/media/pdf/j/h/Fact_sheet_No._15.pdf
