For sale I have a Dell Latitude 7480 that is in beautiful condition,with just general wear and tear. Its specifications are:

I have done some work to it, as below:

Cooling System: I have replaced thermal paste, and cleaned the fans of dust. A full diagnostic has been performed on the system hardware.

RAM: Upgraded the RAM from 4GB to 12GB by adding an extra 8GB stick

Trackpad: Replaced the trackpad buttons as one had stopped working

Battery: Replaced the battery with GENUINE Dell replacement as the old one was 40% worn according to HWMonitor.

Base Cover: Replaced the base cover as the old one was damaged with feet missing. The model number (7490) on the new cover, and the service tag, are wrong,the correct service tag is 45D87H2, it is also programmed into the BIOS of the machine.

I have installed the following software:

Installed Windows 10Pro – Fully activated and updated

Installed latest BIOS - v1.35.0 (Feb 2024) which was a CRITICAL security update

Installed a base set of freeware programs so the machine is ready to go out the box:

LibreOffice for documents/spreadsheets/presentations etc

Paint.net for image editing

Irfanview for image viewing

WinRAR to extract RAR/ZIP/7Zip archives

HWMonitor to show system & hardware information including battery wear

Issues:

The only issue is two small hairline cracks in the screen bezel that is a common issue on these machines. See the photos for details. These do not affect the structure of the screen in any way as the screen assembly is bonded together for strength with adhesive from the factory.

There are also the usual light scuffs and scratches from use. These are not excessive. This will make a great laptop for a student, or even a home computer, as it will do office tasks, email, internet, YouTube, video (It will play HEVC and 4K content!) and photo editing/viewing. It will also play a lot of games on Low setting, but this IS NOT a gaming system, nor am I selling it as such.
