4 bottom Onion bulbs. Once you have these onions you will never be without onions. Every piece of this onion can be eaten. The green stem ,like a Spring Onion. The bottom bulb,as an onion in salad or cooking or if you only need a small piece of onion use one of the top bulblets. as the onion grows and matures it will produce clusters of bulblets at the top of the green stems . As these get larger and heavier they will droop to the soil below. They then grow another clump, beside the original clump. Hence called Walking onions as they move along the garden bed. Very easy to divide and or transplant. They are a perennial onion that will grow to around 45cm tall and will withstand very hot and dry conditions and also -5 degree frosts.
