Read condition description and look at photos carefully. Very clean, but with some minor damage to the box.

Apparently ATCO was the first interlocking brick toy company to compete with LEGO, but was shut down after a lawsuit in the early 1990's. It seems like ATCO reused a lot of pieces for various models, including the minifigs. They don't look the same as the box, but the sticker sheet includes stickers for their torsos. The minifigs included match other photos I've seen online of actual figures from this set.

Although this is not LEGO, it's a fun display piece with the vintage space travel theme and brightly colored bricks. It also seems to be very rare! I haven't been able to find the 8042 model on Ebay current or sold listings within 3 years.
